By creating an account or using AvidSong, you agree to these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, please do not use the platform.

1. Accounts & Eligibility
1.1 You must be at least 13 years old to use AvidSong.
1.2 You are responsible for keeping your login details secure. Any activity on your account is your responsibility.
1.3 AvidSong may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms.

2. Content on AvidSong
2.1 Writers may upload original lyrics. By uploading, you confirm you own the rights to your content.
2.2 AvidSong may create master recordings from uploaded lyrics. These recordings are subject to the Writer Agreement.
2.3 Listeners may play, share, and interact with content only for personal use.
2.4 You may not upload, share, or promote content that is illegal, offensive, infringing, or harmful.

3. Virtual Credits (AP System)
3.1 AvidSong may issue or allow you to earn AP (Avid Points) for activities such as listening, sharing, or referrals.
3.2 AP credits are not money but may be exchanged for platform features, rewards, or withdrawals once a minimum threshold is reached.
3.3 AvidSong may adjust AP earning or redemption rates at any time.
3.4 You may not sell or transfer AP outside the platform unless permitted.

🔮 Future Tokenisation
3.5 AvidSong may in the future introduce a blockchain-based token system and allow users to convert AP into tokens at a rate and under terms determined by AvidSong.
3.6 Any such conversion is not guaranteed and will depend on legal, technical, and regulatory requirements.

4. Revenue & Payments
4.1 Writers’ revenue from AvidSong and external platforms is governed by the Writer Agreement.
4.2 Listener reward pool payouts are credited as AP and may be redeemed when thresholds are met.
4.3 Payments are based on distributor reports (e.g., Symphonic) and AvidSong’s internal systems. AvidSong is not liable for third-party reporting errors.
4.4 Withdrawal requests are subject to verification, minimum payout amounts, and processing fees.

5. Copyright, Clearance & Enforcement
5.1 AvidSong uses distributors and partners to register music with Content ID and other copyright systems.
5.2 Before tracks are released on AvidSong, they are screened using industry-standard compliance systems (via Symphonic Distribution and internal tests). Writers receive a Clearance Paper confirming the track has passed this process.
5.3 This clearance process significantly reduces the chance of copyright disputes. However, no system can guarantee 100% clearance. If an issue arises on a third-party platform (e.g., YouTube, Spotify), AvidSong may provide supporting documentation to assist resolution, but is not liable for final outcomes.
5.4 AvidSong may block, modify, or remove content at its discretion if technical, legal, or quality issues are identified.

6. Prohibited Activities
You may not:

Hack, reverse engineer, or misuse the AvidSong platform.

Attempt to artificially inflate streams, views, or AP earnings.

Share harmful software, spam, or illegal material.

Harass other users or misuse community features.

7. Termination
7.1 AvidSong may suspend or close your account for violating these Terms or the Writer Agreement.
7.2 You may close your account at any time, but outstanding AP or earnings may be forfeited if below the payout threshold.

8. Liability
8.1 AvidSong is provided “as is.” We make no guarantees that the platform will always be available or error-free.
8.2 To the extent permitted by law, AvidSong is not liable for lost profits, damages, or disputes between users.
8.3 Our maximum liability is limited to the amount you have earned or paid through the platform in the 6 months before a claim.

9. Governing Law
These Terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. Where applicable, local copyright and intellectual property laws in Bangladesh also apply.

10. Updates
We may update these Terms from time to time. You will be notified of significant changes. Continued use of the platform means you accept the updated Terms.
